current research interests include topics related to plant taxonomy and plant

AshY phytoplasmas, revision of the North American species of Descurainia,

cladistic analysis of the Elaeocarpaceae: Morphological evidence.
Other areas of research activity that I am currently involved in are: 1) DNA
analysis of Pyrrocoma insecticruris using the ITS-1 (nuclear ribosomal internal
transcribed spacer) and ITS-2 loci, and, 2) an ITS analysis of the genus Oönopsis
(Asteraceae).
