NWU Biology - Pre-PT Program

Pre-Physical Therapy (B.A. Biology)

Pre-professional requirements for admission to University of Nebraska Medical Center:
1 year anatomy/physiology (human/vertebrate) with lecture/lab 1 year chemistry with lecture/lab 1 year physics (including mechanics, heat light, sound and electricity) with lecture/lab	electives (to complete a minimum of 90 semester hours) GRE - Graduate Record Examination is required
Applicants are strongly encouraged to take a balance of electives which is consistent with a liberal arts education, while pursuing depth of study as typically demonstrated by a discipline major. The preferred applicant will demonstrate an academic record that reflects a balance of course work in the humanities and the social and natural sciences.
Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 is required in overall coursework, and a minimum GPA of 3.0 in required coursework areas.	Other Physical Therapy schools may have different requirements. The NWU pre-health advisor, academic advisors, and the NWU Career Centers can aid in determining these requirements.
