Pre-Clinical Perfusion Technology (B.S. Biology)

Pre-professional requirements for admission to University of Nebraska Medical Center:

6 hrs English Composition
6 hrs General Biology, Zoology, Genetics
6 hrs Anatomy and Physiology
6 hrs General Chemistry
6 hrs Algebra, Pre-Calculus or Calculus
6 hrs General Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy

Suggested Courses (not mandatory for admission)

3 hrs Microbiology (Including Lab)
3 hrs Organic Chemistry
3 hrs Biochemistry

GRE - Graduate Record Examination is required

The UNMC Clinical Perfusion Education Program website states that "By the intended date of enrollment, applicants will have successfully completed their college course work at an accredited college or university. Most successful applicants present with a minimum quality grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Grades below C are not accepted for transfer to the DCPE. Prior to enrollment in the Program, students must have a Bachelor's degree…". "It should be noted that the above prerequisites are minimum requirements. The stronger the academic credentials are in the Education, the greater the chance of being accepted into the program."
